Haha nothing wrong with blowing your own trumpet mate, I am just using mudruns as a fill in at this stage. I'm training for my first half marathon in September but after that am real keen to do more mud runs

Just be aware of avoiding injuries during mudruns when it gets closer to your marathon.

Well done. Did you do the north shore one?

I'm kinda keen to do another couple one day or maybe a full. Grew up doing cross country and road racing (5 to 10km) sorta stuff then went out and ran my first half in under 1.30 after having never run more than about 12k. By 20 I was pretty much over running though and haven't looked back since.

I live in kaikoura and a local school puts one on every year so thought I'd give it a Crack just to say I've done one.
That's bloody quick mate ,I'm more into mud runs and obstacle racing so not sure if I'll do another half.

Know what you are saying....running like that is boring as fuck!

North shore marathon was on here last week and it's actually one that appeals to me as a lot of it is on beach and off the roads
